Kirsten Greenidge has enjoyed development experience at the Playtime Writers Retreat/New Dramatists, the Mark Taper Forum New Work Festival, the Bay Area Playwright's Festival, Sundance Theatre Retreat/Ucross, A.S.K. Theatre Projects and the O'Neill (1999, 2001). Her work has been read at the Hourglass Theatre New Work Series and Playwrights Horizons, and performed at the Boston Theatre Marathon, the Humana Festival and New Georges. In addition, Greenidge has received commissions from South Coast Repertory and the Actor's Theatre of Louisville. Awards include semi-finalist for the Cherry Lane Alternative Mentor Project, ACTF (Hansberry Award 2002, first place; 2001, second place; Cohen Award: 2001, second place) and the University of Iowa (Maibaum Award; IRAM Award). Greenidge earned her B.A. at Wesleyan University and her M.F.A. at the Playwrights Workshop at the University of Iowa where she was a Barry Kemp Fellow. She is a member of The Dramatists Guild, Inc.
