Stay With Me Awhile is a compilation of vigil stories from across cultures, religions, political views and socio-economic circumstances that were collected over a seven-year period. Each story was entirely unique, and many of the scenes described were snapshots of lifelong relationships played out as the end of life approached.

Opal’s world was exceptional, and she recorded every day, lovingly and carefully, in her own special language. Everyone who enters Opal’s world will remember it. Her life is portrayed here without sentiment—it was a hard, impoverished time in a grim environment, and yet she managed to find good in the world and engaged it with an “understanding heart.”

The day is saved as all celebrate Pinkerton!
